The Camacho Broadleaf was introduced in 2023 as the newest permanent addition to Camacho's core lineup. For decades, Camacho built its reputation around bold expressions such as Corojo, Ecuador, and Triple Maduro. With the Broadleaf release, the brand wanted to create a cigar that stayed true to its aggressive identity while exploring a tobacco rarely associated with Honduras.
Rather than using the traditional Connecticut or Pennsylvania Broadleaf commonly found in maduro cigars, Camacho developed a blend built around a Honduran-grown Broadleaf wrapper, making it the first cigar in the company's history to feature this leaf. The project was intended to showcase the capabilities of Honduran tobacco beyond the Corojo varieties for which Camacho is best known.
Produced at Diadema Cigars de Honduras, the cigar combines Honduran and Dominican tobaccos beneath the proprietary Honduran Broadleaf wrapper. The result is a cigar that fits naturally within Camacho's portfolio while offering a richer, darker profile than many of its predecessors.
Camacho positioned the Broadleaf as a cigar for smokers seeking boldness, complexity, and the distinctive sweetness associated with Broadleaf tobacco.
