Buy NowBy studying and referencing original workwear documents from the period, Sugar Cane has faithfully revived a full range of functional details typical of true vintage garments. These authentic elements are reinterpreted and thoughtfully combined within the brand’s own line, aptly named 'Fiction Romance.'
This concept reflects Sugar Cane’s philosophy of blending historical accuracy with creative craftsmanship, producing pieces that honour the past while remaining wearable today. This hunting jacket from Sugar Cane, under their Fiction Romance line, is crafted from a sturdy 13oz brown duck canvas and takes inspiration from a 1950's Hunting Jacket made by American Field.
True to its utilitarian roots, the design has been subtly modified, removing the traditional rear game pocket to create a cleaner look. Two-tiered patch pockets at the waist provide generous storage, while a corduroy collar provides durability & a bit of contras. The pockets & cuffs also feature corduroy reinforcements.
The upper back and outer sleeves are partially lined for comfort and structure while metal buttons at the front and cuffs feature an assortment of animal motifs - including deer, dogs, horses, and foxes - lending each piece a unique vintage charm. 100% cotton 13 oz brown duck canvas Inspired by vintage Hunting Jacket by American Field Two tiered lower parch pockets Single chest pocket w/zip closure Corduroy collar Corduroy reinforced pockets & cuffs Button front Metal buttons with assortment of animal motifs Made in Japan
