These Tanuki High Tapered jeans are crafted from the brand’s renowned 15oz Indigo x Indigo selvedge denim, with both the warp and weft rope-dyed in rich indigo for an exceptionally deep, tonal blue. Woven on vintage shuttle looms using a low-tension technique, the fabric feels breathable and surprisingly soft despite its weight and slubby, uneven texture. This irregular character creates a stunning visual depth and results in high-contrast fades and snowy highlightsthat emerge quickly with wear.

The denim is made from 100% Texas cotton, chosen for its medium-staple fibers that combine durability with a vintage hand feel. Slub, nep, and visible white-core yarns contribute to the denim’s fast-aging properties – this fabric is considered one of the quickest fading double indigos on the market, offering a highly personal patina over time.

Cut in Tanuki’s High Tapered fit, these jeans feature a high rise, room in the thigh, and a sharp taper from the knee down, offering a flattering silhouette with modern comfort.
