Buy NowArguably the finest Americana reproduction brand from Japan, the Real McCoy's painstakingly recreate and update original garments for the modern day offering the best from the past, replicated to perfection without compromise in Japan The Cuban Shirt from The Real McCoy's is inspired by vintage Cuban, or Guayabera shirts, with roots dating back to the late 19th century.
Cuban or Guayabera shirts are typically adorned with 2 or 4 pockets and vertical rows of delicately sewn pleats. Made in Japan from a custom leno weave fabric, this specialised textile construction uses adjacent warp threads twisted around one another in a figure-eight pattern to securely lock the weft threads in place.
The result is a lightweight yet durable material with an open structure that offers enhanced breathability and distinctive texture. An open collar has been paired with two chest pockets and two hip pockets with button closure while intricately woven pleats feature on either side of button facing placket.
