Buy NowArguably the finest Americana reproduction brand from Japan, the Real McCoy's painstakingly recreate and update original garments for the modern day offering the best from the past, replicated to perfection without compromise in Japan. The U. S. Navy Service Coat reflects a pivotal shift in naval uniform design, replacing the rigid high-collared dress coats of the 19th century with a more modern, tailored silhouette.
Originally introduced in 1919, the design became standard issue for U. S. Navy officers and senior warrant officers under the 1941 uniform regulations, combining military formality with the refinement of private tailoring. The Real McCoy’s reproduction is executed in Japan with the same meticulous attention to detail that defines the brand’s military garments.
Cut from a smooth wool gabardine cloth and fully lined in rayon sateen, the coat features traditional haircloth canvas construction, a classic tailoring method woven from horsehair and cotton that gives the jacket its structured yet natural drape. Authentic U. S. N. Eagle & Anchor gold buttons and cotton thread construction complete an exceptionally faithful recreation of the original officer-issued pieces.
