Buy NowThe Atlas Work Shirt blends the rugged charm of early 20th-century workwear with year-round versatility for both labor and leisure.
Crafted from durable 6.5oz selvedge salt & pepper chambray, milled exclusively in Japan, this rare fabric is a testament to enduring quality. Inspired by 1930s design, it features authentic details like a 'chinstrap' (or 'extension neckband') for weather resistance, ecru stitching with period-accurate chainstitching, and a high, slim back yoke. Foldover cuffs, unique pocket shapes, urea cat's eye buttons, selvedge gussets, and chainstitch run-offs complete its vintage aesthetic.
This updated version offers a straighter cut, extended length for easier tucking, and retains its period-accurate fit. Crafted ethically in Japan by John Lofgren & Co., the Atlas shirt guarantees impeccable quality and responsible production.
The term 'covert' originates from English fox hunting, referring to a fox's hideaway. Covert cloths, dating back to the late 1800s, used twisted, multicolored yarns for a durable, dirt-resistant fabric, echoing the enduring spirit of this work shirt.
Fit Notes: This shirt runs a bit smaller in size compared to your regular American size. However, individual body types can vary, so, as always, we recommend consulting our size chart for the perfect fit.
