THE STRIKE GOLD 5109 15oz Slub Grey Weft Slim Tapered Jeans

About this product

These jeans are like the feather-light rock stars in The Strike Gold's killer lineup. Crafted from unsanforized 15oz slubby denim, they feature a pure indigo warp and a unique grey weft, creating a sought-after texture. Meticulously woven with super short cotton staples, the fabric's feel is defined by its fiber length.

The distinctive character of these jeans stems from The Strike Gold's unwavering attention to detail. Utilizing an exceptionally slow spinning technique on the shuttle loom, they achieve an extraordinary, uneven texture that sets the denim apart. This one-of-a-kind fabric showcases remarkable irregularity and roughness, captivating denim enthusiasts worldwide. Despite the dense fabric, these jeans offer remarkable softness and comfort.

Like all Strike Gold jeans, this model showcases meticulous craftsmanship, featuring hidden rivets, a deer leather patch, and custom iron and copper rivets. The aging effect, where male rivets oxidize over time and female ones darken, adds a distinguished touch. The slim tapered fit, narrowing elegantly from thigh to hem, paired with a mid-low rise, contributes to a modern and stylish silhouette.

As many other Strike Gold Jeans, the 5109 runs slightly small. In general, we recommend choosing one size larger than your usual. However, as always, we recommend checking the size chart first to find your perfect size. It is unsanforized but one washed, so there will be no shrinkage.

The Strike Gold is undoubtedly one of the benchmark brands when we speak of Japanese denim. Established in Kojima, in Okayama Prefecture, the Hamamoto family has been focusing all its efforts for more than 10 years on producing denim, sweatshirts, shirts and belts of the very highest quality one can find today. They're denim fabrics, unique in the world for their texture, composition, incredible irregularity, stiffness, roughness and character, delight denim devotees around the planet.
