The UES 100% Linen Long Sleeve T-Shirt is a refined everyday essential crafted from pure linen, one of the oldest natural fibers known to humankind. Derived from the flax plant, linen has been valued for centuries for its strength, breathability, and comfort – qualities that UES elevates through thoughtful Japanese knitwear production.
This T-shirt is made from linen jersey fabric, knitted from linen yarns rather than woven, resulting in a surface that is visibly different from cotton. The fabric displays natural nep and irregular texture, along with subtle tonal variation that gives the garment a uniquely organic character. The color expression and handfeel are unmistakably linen – distinct, understated, and quietly expressive.
When new, the fabric has a dry, crisp touch, but with repeated wear and washing it becomes progressively softer and more fluid, molding naturally to the body. Linen is known to absorb moisture at up to four times the rate of cotton and dries exceptionally fast, preventing the fabric from clinging to the skin and keeping the wearer comfortable throughout the day.
Thanks to linen’s hollow fiber structure, this long sleeve tee offers excellent temperature regulation – remaining cool and breathable in warm conditions while retaining warmth when temperatures drop. It is also a remarkably strong and water-resistant fiber, meaning the fabric actually gains durability over time and holds up exceptionally well to repeated washing.
Another natural advantage of linen is its pectin content, which helps resist dirt and keeps the garment cleaner for longer. Combined with its smooth drape and lightly slubby texture, this results in a cut-and-sew piece that feels both luxurious and effortless.
Arriving ahead of the season in its long sleeve form, this T-shirt is ideal for transitional weather and year-round layering. It works just as well worn on its own as it does under jackets, overshirts, or knitwear – an understated staple designed to age gracefully…
