Crafted in Okayama on vintage shuttle looms, the UES 11.4oz Indigo Double Weave Shirt offers an exceptional blend of ruggedness and refinement. Made from UES's proprietary double weave denim, this shirt carries a rich 11.4oz weight that sets it apart from standard shirting fabrics – bringing jacket-level substance with shirt-like wearability.
What truly distinguishes this piece is its deeply textured surface, achieved through the use of rope-dyed indigo yarnsspun with deliberate irregularity. The fabric is woven in a rare 3:1 twill structure, creating a subtle 'raindrop' effectacross the surface – a visual and tactile detail that is seldom seen, even by seasoned denim enthusiasts.
Rooted in the design of a vintage work shirt, this piece combines classic utility with elevated craftsmanship. The heavier-than-usual yarns and slower weaving speeds of traditional power looms contribute to its uniquely rich character, visible in both structure and fading potential. With time, wear, and wash, the shirt develops a personalized patina, telling your own story in indigo.
Fit Notes: UES shirts tend to run small compared to American sizing. Due to their Japanese sizing and slim fit, we typically recommend sizing up. For example, if you usually wear a Medium in American brands, a size 3 (Large) in this shirt should provide a good fit. However, we always recommend checking our size chart to ensure the best fit for you.
