The UES Double Honeycomb Thermal is a versatile layer you’ll want to reach for time and again – perfect on its own during the coldest days of spring and early autumn, or as a sturdy base layer that can turn a harsh winter into something far more bearable, all without adding unnecessary bulk to your silhouette.
This is the thickest thermal we’ve ever encountered, surpassing even the UES Waffle Thermal. It’s crafted from a 16.5oz, 100% cotton double honeycomb knit, woven on vintage machines using ultra-thick, durable yarns. The result is a fabric that’s exceptionally warm, comfortable, and hard-wearing – capable of withstanding even the most extreme cold when paired with the right outer layers.
Despite its slim cut, the Double Honeycomb Thermal stretches and conforms to your body, creating a skin-tight fit that maximizes heat retention and regulates body temperature. Its insulating performance rivals that of the best technical base layers, with the added benefit of being made entirely from natural cotton. Each garment has been one-wash treated to minimize shrinkage and features traditional 4-needle flat seam construction – a hallmark of UES durability and craftsmanship.
Fit Notes: UES thermals tend to run smaller than typical American sizing. We recommend ordering one size up from your usual US size. For example, if you normally wear a size M in American brands, you’ll likely find your best fit in size 3 (L) here. Always refer to our size chart for the most accurate fit. The slim cut is designed to stretch and conform to your shape, providing a close, heat-trapping fit perfect for cold-weather layering.
