Indigo enthusiasts, behold the must-have indigo-dyed pocket tee by UES. Crafted from soft, premium long-staple cotton, this shirt only improves with every wear.
Utilizing rope-dyed yarn as the material, watch as the color transforms from a deep blue to a subtle sax blue, creating a captivating fade effect. The durable thick single yarn knitted fabric ensures the tee maintains its shape over time, with the indigo discoloration evolving beautifully through prolonged use.
UES employed varying shades of natural indigo in the rope-dyeing process, resulting in a fabric adorned with rich, dark blue tones complemented by lighter blue freckles, reminiscent of ocean waves.
UES is a small Japanese label founded by Chuji Matsumoto in 1994. UES comes from the English word 'Waste', which means that Matsumoto-San wants you to make full use of each garment for as long as possible before discarding it. It is a small judgement of the concept of disposable wear that is so commonplace today in the world of fashion and from which Matsumoto-San disassociates himself completely.
