The UES Traveling Shirt is a celebration of enduring quality, thoughtful design, and masterful Japanese craftsmanship. After months of refinement, UES has developed a unique high-density sulfur-dyed fabric, engineered for longevity without sacrificing comfort. Woven with resilience and structure, the material softens with wear, forging a lasting bond between garment and wearer.
This shirt goes beyond the ordinary. It features a robust metal tack button chosen to match the fabric’s rugged durability, while a generously sized chest pocket adds utilitarian flair and practical storage. A discreet inner pocket on the left side includes a sewn-in travel journal patch – an archival-style form designed to record key information such as destination, contact, and blood type. It’s a nostalgic, functional nod to classic military and exploration gear, adding a layer of personality and utility.
The sleeves are cut with extra room, allowing for easy rolling and relaxed styling, while tab-opening snap buttonsoffer quick adjustability with refined detailing. Every element of this shirt is intentional, combining functionality with quiet sophistication.
Fit Notes: UES shirts tend to run small compared to American sizing. Due to their Japanese sizing and slim fit, we typically recommend sizing up. For example, if you usually wear a Medium in American brands, a size 3 (Large) in this shirt should provide a good fit. However, we always recommend checking our size chart to ensure the best fit for you.
