A wardrobe staple, its handwoven and naturally dyed fabric lends itself to a relaxed look and feel. With a standard fit, spread collar, horn buttons and use of saddle stitching and selvedge throughout.
Handwoven on a pedal loom, Jamdani is a time-consuming and labor-intensive form of weaving fabric with geometric or floral motifs that are created directly on the loom using a discontinuous weft technique. Our design features a lotus mandala motif inspired by carvings found in Buddhist monastries of the upper Himalayan region.
Woven with Kala Cotton, the short staple and indegnious cotton native to kutch. Our cotton fabric features a unique diamond structure and has been dyed using Natural Indigo dye. This fabric is known to protect the wearer against the harsh heat in Kutch while keeping the wearer warm in the winter months.
Our naturally dyed base fabric is yarn dyed using pomegranate to provide the rich red shade.
