The Whitesville Loopwheeled ('Tsuri-Ami') sweatshirt is meticulously crafted in the Kanekichi Wakayama workshop in Japan. This workshop stands as one of only two in the world that has continuously operated tubular textile production machines for over a century, enabling the creation of seamless garments. The only force applied in the knitting process is gravity, resulting in a knitted fabric devoid of inherent stress or tension. A loopwheel machine turns at a mere 24 revolutions per minute, producing just enough fabric for 8-10 garments in a day, a far cry from the output of modern knitting machines that exceed this by more than tenfold. The outcome is a heavyweight fabric that is soft, yet incredibly durable, making it the finest material for sweatshirts available today.
This sweatshirt showcases a crewneck design and lacks any bothersome side seams. Crafted for longevity, it offers a plush interior for comfort and a rugged exterior for durability. Despite being a Japanese piece, we find the sizing of this sweatshirt to be not too small. If you usually wear a size M in American sweats, you'll find a suitable fit with this sweatshirt in size M or L if you prefer a more relaxed fit.
