Knit at low tension and slow speed, the result is a fabric with a soft, bouncy hand feel and a rich slubby texture throughout. Made entirely in Japan from start to finish. The textured surface interacts beautifully with natural dyes, as subtle variations within the fabric absorb color at different rates, creating remarkable depth and character.

Each garment is hand-dyed in Amami, an island chain in southern Japan renowned for its centuries-old dyeing traditions. The Sharinbai tree, native to Amami, has long been integral to these traditions.
