Buy NowCrafted from a substantial 502 GSM (14.8oz/yd²) heavyweight waffle knit, the Wonder Looper Foxfibre® Henley offers exceptional warmth, texture, and durability. The fabric is knit in Wakayama, Japan, using traditional circular knitting machines, creating a waffle structure that naturally traps heat while maintaining breathability thanks to its 100% cotton composition.
The distinctive brown hue of the 'Coyote 15' is not dyed, but derived from Foxfibre® – a naturally colored cotton organically grown on a single-origin farm in New Mexico. This innovative fiber develops its color directly in the plant, eliminating the need for synthetic dyes. With time and wear, the fabric deepens in tone, developing a unique patina that enhances its character.
This blend features 80% Foxfibre®, balanced with 20% organically grown Extra Long Staple and organic upland cotton. The result is a lighter, more refined tone that retains the natural warmth of Foxfibre®, while offering superior softness, strength, and durability.
To further enrich the natural tone, the fabric undergoes an iron mordant treatment – a traditional process where fibers are soaked in an iron-rich solution that deepens and intensifies the color. In this case, the iron mordant enhances the natural brown hue of the FoxFibre® cotton into a rich, dark earthy tone, adding depth, character to the fiber.
Details include raglan sleeves for unrestricted movement, a binder collar with real horn button closure, flat seam construction for enhanced comfort, and a gently curved hem for a relaxed silhouette. Expertly made in Japan with a focus on craftsmanship and longevity.
Fit Notes: Although Wonder Looper is a Japanese brand, the sizing runs closer to Western standards. If you typically wear a size M in American t-shirts, you’ll find the same size works well here.
