Yuketen's USA-made moccasin collection is inspired by the rugged footwear worn by the early guides who once trailblazed the untamed wilderness of New England. Their footwear strongly reflected the spirit of an era where European hunting culture and Native American craftsmanship met and beautifully merged.
Drawing its name from the specialised footwear favoured by Maine’s freshwater fishermen in the 1950s and 60s, the Angler Moc is a masterful tribute to classic New England sporting heritage. Navigating unpredictable waters and slippery riverbanks, these dedicated anglers demanded footwear that provided an exceptionally secure fit.
To meet this critical need, the silhouette is distinguished by the unique placement of its eyestay, which is purposefully designed to firmly and comfortably hug the highest part of the foot. For this modern iteration, Yuketen elevates this historic sporting shoe by introducing a meticulously refined vamp construction and enhanced arch support for all-day endurance.
By combining these thoughtful structural upgrades with traditional handsewn craftsmanship, it seamlessly blends the vintage charm of an authentic outdoorsman's moccasin with superior modern comfort. Yuketen partnered with Tuscany’s finest, Opera Leather, to feature their exquisite Crazy Horse Leather.
Named to evoke the wild horses of the Western frontier, this robust, full-grain cowhide features a powerful, rugged appearance that perfectly captures the essence of your journey. Full-leather insoles, leather tucks, and steel shank reinforcements increase fitting in the arch and heel as well as lessen foot fatigue by forming a stable bridge between the heel and ball of the owner's foot.
