Hiut Denim The Mari - Slim Fit - OG Japanese Selvedge

About this product

The Mari – Slim Fit OG Japanese Selvedge The Mari is our slim fit jean. A shape designed to follow the natural line of the leg while remaining comfortable enough for everyday life. The silhouette sits neatly through the waist and thigh before tapering gently towards the ankle. The result is a clean, modern profile that feels balanced rather than restrictive.

Slim without feeling tight. Refined without losing the ease of a classic pair of jeans. This version is cut from OG Japanese selvedge denim, a fabric widely respected for its quality, durability and character. Woven on traditional shuttle looms, selvedge denim has a tighter construction that produces a stronger fabric and a distinctive finished edge.

When new, the denim has a reassuring structure that holds its shape well. With time and wear, it gradually softens and develops natural fades and creases. Over the years the fabric records the way the jeans are worn, creating patterns unique to the person who owns them. Every pair of Mari jeans is handcrafted in Aberteifi, Wales by the Grand Masters who make up our small team.

By focusing on one thing – making jeans – we’re able to pay attention to the details that help them last. Reinforced back pockets strengthen areas that see the most wear. Strong stitching reinforces high-stress seams, helping the jeans hold their shape over time. And because good jeans should stay with you for years, every pair comes with free repairs for life.

The Mari is a slim fit built around quality denim and careful craftsmanship. A dependable everyday jean designed to improve with age.
