This reissue of Lightning Archives: Leather Jackets brings back one of the most celebrated volumes in the Lightning series – now revised and enhanced for a new generation of collectors and enthusiasts.
Dedicated entirely to vintage leather outerwear, the book showcases over 300 rare and historically significant jackets spanning from the 1930s to the 1970s. From early rugged workwear to more refined, fashion-forward styles, it captures the evolution of leather jackets across decades.
Rather than grouping garments by brand or type, the volume presents them chronologically, allowing readers to follow the natural progression of design, construction, and function over time.
Featuring contributions from leading vintage shops and collectors, and supported by high-quality photography and archival insight, this edition stands as a true reference piece for anyone passionate about heritage fashion, craftsmanship, and the enduring appeal of leather garments.
