MOMOTARO JEANS MMGJ0102 15.7oz #002 "Classic" Denim Type II Jacket

About this product

The new Momotaro Type III Classic Denim Jacket reinvents a timeless classic with a modern, streamlined silhouette and exceptional craftsmanship. Made from a uniquely textured fabric cherished across generations, it offers both durability and a soft, comfortable fit. Woven on traditional shuttle looms, the denim showcases the rich irregularity and character of vintage textiles.

Its standout feature is the 15.7oz ultra-high-density indigo denim – crafted from rare, extra-long staple Zimbabwean cotton. This 6-count fabric combines the luxurious softness of premium cotton with the rugged appeal of heritage denim, delivering one of the world’s most distinctive and durable denim experiences. While the Momotaro Classic line uses unsanforized fabric to preserve the authentic, rugged texture of traditional denim, this jacket has been one-washed to prevent shrinkage and ensure a more comfortable fit from the start.

With a slightly narrower body and sleeves, this jacket offers a tailored yet comfortable fit, enhancing its sharp, sophisticated look. The structured pattern ensures a flattering silhouette, making it an effortless staple for any wardrobe.

As part of Momotaro’s rebrand, this jacket incorporates elements reminiscent of high-end luxury fashion, blending Japanese heritage with contemporary design. Premium details like extra-thick buttons and a natural cowhide leather patch further elevate its refinement, durability, and modern elegance – a true statement piece in any collection. This classic version features the iconic Going to Battle stripes on the left sleeve.

Fit Notes: New Momotaro jackets run true to size. If you wear a size M in American t-shirts, you should select a size M in this one. However, body types vary, so we always recommend checking our size chart for the perfect fit.
