MOMOTARO JEANS MMOT6306 Indigo Heavy Sashiko Type II Jacket

About this product

The Momotaro MMOT6306 Indigo Heavy Sashiko Type II Jacket shows traditional Japanese textile mastery through indigo-dyed, double-woven sashiko fabric renowned for its exceptional durability in kendo uniforms. This jacket features deep navy threads on the outer layer contrasted by light blue (asagi-iro) threads on the reverse, creating richly textured and distinctive finish. The double-woven sashiko technique delivers superior strength while maintaining the authentic character of traditional Japanese textiles. This heritage fabric construction ensures longevity and develops a beautiful patina through wear and aging.

Designed with Momotaro's classic fit double-pocket silhouette, this Type II jacket features slightly relaxed body proportions with balanced length for versatile styling. The thoughtfully tailored silhouette prioritizes both style and comfort while incorporating easy-to-use side pockets for everyday functionality. Made from 100% cotton, this jacket represents the perfect fusion of traditional sashiko craftsmanship and contemporary jacket design.

Fit Notes: Momotaro jackets run true to size. If you wear a size M in American jackets, you should select a size M in this one. However, body types vary, so we always recommend checking our size chart for the perfect fit.
