Buy NowThe Mooncastle 7G Cashmere Silk Wool Mockneck Pullover is a refined hybrid knit that perfectly balances luxury, comfort, and everyday versatility. This exceptional piece is produced by Mooncastle, a factory brand launched in 2020 by a historic knitwear manufacturer founded in 1966 in Misaki, Osaka Prefecture. With very few exceptions, all Mooncastle pieces are made entirely in their in-house factory, ensuring uncompromising quality and consistency.
The pullover is knitted from an exclusive hybrid yarn combining 80% lamb's wool, 10% cashmere, and 10% silk – each fiber selected for a specific contribution to the finished textile. The lamb's wool base provides natural structure, resilience, and subtle luster; cashmere adds exceptional softness and insulating warmth; and silk enhances smoothness and skin comfort with a refined, fluid touch. The result is a fabric that feels immediately warm, light, and remarkably soft from the first wear.
Constructed in a 7-gauge mid-weight knit, the sweater offers an ideal balance between substance and comfort. It has enough presence to wear confidently on its own, yet remains breathable and flexible enough to layer effortlessly under jackets, coats, or blazers. The mockneck (bottleneck) collar provides warmth and a clean, modern profile without the restrictive feel of a full turtleneck.
The fit and silhouette are intentionally classic and understated, making this pullover highly versatile – equally effective as a standalone piece or as a refined inner layer during colder months. The contrast between its mature, elegant appearance and its soft, gentle texture gives it a distinctive character that feels both elevated and wearable.
Finished entirely in Japan with Mooncastle's signature attention to detail, this sweater delivers timeless style, luxurious handfeel, and long-term wearability in a single balanced garment.
