SAMURAI JEANS 10oz "Hisho SWD-L02" Selvedge Western Denim Shirt

About this product

The timeless appeal of the western shirt is undeniable, and Samurai Jeans has elevated this classic with the Hisho Western shirt – a garment that effortlessly earns its place as the quintessential favorite in your wardrobe.

The Hisho shirt stands out with its use of 10oz Japanese Selvedge 'Ear of the Sword' Serubitchi Denim, celebrated for its exceptional fading properties. What sets the Hisho shirt apart are its exquisite details, including black diamond snap buttons, a wooden cat-eye collar button, and silver lamé selvedge accents that symbolize the revered 'Katana Ha' or Samurai sword cutting edge.

The craftsmanship shines through in the chain stitching construction, showcasing impeccable western stitching on both the front and back yoke. Noteworthy is the intricately stitched front, reminiscent of the wings of the 'Hisho' – the Secretary bird.

Like all Samurai shirts, it runs slightly small, so we recommend choosing one size larger than your usual. For example, if you typically wear a size M in American brands, you'll likely find a suitable fit with this jacket in size L. However, individual body types can vary, so, as always, we recommend consulting our size chart for the perfect fit.

Samurai jeans have become a legend in the Japanese denim scene. Created in Osaka by Toru Nogami in 1997, Samurai represents the perfection of Japanese tradition, with its iconography of Sengoku-era Samurais and the search for the best and nothing but the best through materials, artisan garment-making techniques and unique detailing.
