SAMURAI JEANS SOS26-ARS Samurai Jeans Indigo Sashiko Lattice Open Collar Shirt- Indigo

About this product

The Samurai Jeans Sashiko Lattice Open Collar Shirt is constructed from a distinctive indigo sashiko lattice dobby fabric developed exclusively with skilled Japanese artisans. The fabric combines natural indigo and regular indigo through hand-dyeing, producing a deep blue hue with subtle purple undertones. With repeated washing and wear, the fabric develops increasing texture and character.

Inspired by the tear-resistant structure of ripstop fabric, the sashiko lattice weave features pronounced ridges arranged in a grid-like pattern, giving the cloth both visual depth and impressive durability. Developed to order using traditional sashiko weaving techniques, the fabric reflects the experience and intuition of the local Japanese craftsmen who created it.

The shirt itself takes its cues from vintage American workwear, featuring rounded chest pockets and a clean, streamlined silhouette. Triple-stitched rolled seams reinforce the construction at key points, providing the durability needed for years of regular wear.

The SOS26-ARS brings together Samurai Jeans' distinctive approach to indigo with traditional Japanese weaving and straightforward workwear design, resulting in a shirt that will become increasingly individual as the fabric fades and softens with use.
