Buy NowThe GL3 loom, built over 50 years ago by Toyota Industries as Japan’s first power loom, is no longer supported with replacement parts. Maintenance is labor-intensive, relying on salvaged components from retired machines. It weaves at a slow pace - just 5 meters per hour. Yet the GL3 is unmatched.
It produces denim with a rugged, uneven texture that captures the true spirit of vintage workwear – something modern, uniform machines can’t replicate. Studio D’Artisan’s new 'GL3' series embraces every unique trait of this loom. From yarn shape and dye color to weaving density, everything follows original in-house recipes.
The result: denim with an unmistakably raw, irregular, and authentic character. - Style: SD-4102 GL3 Type 2 Selvedge Denim Jacket- Fit: Regular fit- Color: Indigo- Material: 100% cotton- Made of 15oz Japanese GL3 selvedge denim- One wash- Type 2 style- Indigo dyed warp and white weft- Original Studio D'Artisan buttons- Leather patch- Made in JapanOur model is 189cm, 85kg - wears size 44/XLSize chart in cm:
