The TCB Late S40’s WWII Jeans are a faithful reproduction of 1940s Levi’s jeans, capturing the unique essence of the wartime era. During the late 1940s, supply shortages led to the use of different materials, and these jeans reflect that. The design is inspired by a rare vintage pair that features flannel inner pockets, a unique characteristic of this period.
Crafted from 13.5 oz denim, the fabric is woven with a mix of No. 7.5 and No. 6.5 uneven yarns, accurately mimicking the rugged texture and distinctive fading patterns of the original jeans. This combination ensures that the jeans not only look authentic but will also age beautifully over time, with the unique flannel pocket bags contributing to the fading effect.
The stitching and details, including the misaligned back yoke and laurel donut buttons made from iron with 2 prongs, are carefully reproduced to match the vintage originals. These jeans offer a unique piece of history with a modern fit, ideal for those looking to add to their collection of WWII-era denim.
Fit Notes: The S40’s model runs very small, so we recommend sizing up two sizes from your usual fit. As always, check the size chart for accuracy. These jeans are unsanforized but one-washed, meaning no further shrinkage will occur.
