Continuing to be inspired by vintage military wear, this AW25 sees Soundman utilise exacting fabrics with inspired design. We couldn’t be happier here at Clutch that Soundman have re-issued this particular jacket! We stocked this style about four or five seasons ago, and it hasn’t been made since - but here we are!
The Grants from Soundman is heavily inspired by a particularly rare Royal Navy Submarine Jacket produced from the 1950's-60's commonly referred to as the 'Royal Navy Submarine Service Operator Jacket'. As always, Soundman embrace aspects of vintage military wear and update the garment for modern wear.
Cut in Japan from a cotton/nylon high density back satin, the Grants has a heavy duty 200g thick batting that packs a punch and adds definition to the piece as well as further enhancing the heat retention capabilities. True to the original garment the Grants features the intricate reverse elbow notch detailing to allow for ease of wear and movement, much needed with thick batting.
A button front with concealed zip has been paired with two deep slash pockets and a single slanted chest pocket. Sloping raglan sleeves and a double button chin strap closure further enhance ease of wear while the piece is complete with two interior pockets and intricately knitted ribbed cuffs.
