The TCB Late S40’s WWII 14oz Regular Straight Jeans in Black are a meticulously crafted homage to 1940s wartime denim, reimagined in a rare unsanforized black fabric. Inspired by Levi’s WWII-era jeans, this model reflects the resourcefulness and character of the period – now translated into a black-on-black construction designed for exceptional fading.
Made from 14 oz unsanforized denim, the fabric is woven using a blend of American cottons with naturally uneven, pre-dyed black yarns in both the warp and the weft. This irregular texture replicates the rugged feel of vintage denim while ensuring a unique aging process. As you wear them, the jeans will transform from deep black into rich shades of charcoal, gray, and soft white, offering the kind of beautiful fades that are increasingly rare in the vintage market.
Faithful to late 1940s wartime details, the jeans feature laurel donut buttons – a signature WWII-era detail – along with simplified stitching and characteristic construction quirks. These elements bring historical accuracy to the piece while the regular straight fit provides modern comfort and versatility.
For denim enthusiasts who appreciate WWII reproductions – or anyone curious to experience the unique charm of fading a pair of black jeans – these TCB S40’s WWII Black Jeans deliver a standout blend of authenticity, craftsmanship, and long-term character.
Fit Notes: The S40’s model runs a bit small, so we recommend sizing up one size from your usual fit. As always, check the size chart for accuracy. These jeans are unsanforized but one-washed, meaning no further shrinkage will occur.
